I'm excited for the NEW changes to come!!

It's a birthday party....HORRAY!

Well, that is how a 4 year old is supposed to have a birthday party right? But, this year, it didn't work out that way.

Ashton was not feeling very well and ended up sleeping most of his birthday asleep. He loved that all his friends came to his party, even though he was curled up in his bed, sleeping. He didn't mind, as long as his friends were having fun.

2 things that I'll never forget about the day. When Ashton woke up, after the party was over, he said, "Mommy, is at least ONE of my friends still here to play with?" When I told him everyone had left, he said, "Well Auntie is still here right?" Gosh, he sure loves his Auntie Aja, but even she had left, just moments before he awoke.

What a terrible idea it was to go through with the birthday party. But at the same time, it was the best decision we could make for him. He wanted that birthday party, terribly. He just could not understand how we could cancel it. He would have been heartbroken.

When Ashton woke up, it was time to open up presents!!!!

AT received so many wonderful gifts. It was great having so many kids in our home. I believe 15 of the 18 showed up ;) That is amazing!!! I only wish our almost "4" year old, would have been able to enjoy himself just a little bit more.

Ashton's 4th Birthday Party....

For those of you that were here, THANK YOU!
What a fantastic turn out. I only wish the birthday boy could remember it :( Only Ashton was very much under the weather and crawled right into his bed, moments after we sang Happy Birthday, and he went straight to sleep. While 6, bubbly, happy, loud children played in his room. I think that was his favorite part. Knowing that his friends could have a good time, with his toys, while he took a rest.

Barney!

Did you know Ethan's favorite show is Barney? Yeah, it is. And I think he seriously could make the most awesome looking Barney EVER, for Halloween, but I didn't find what I was looking for.

Anyways, Ashton wasn't feeling very well yesterday and requested to watch, Barney. Because he is very sweet that way, thinking of his brother ;) So when you ask Ethan if he wants to watch Barney, immediately he lays down like this....

And yes, he always smiles while watching the ENTIRE show! The best part? Is when Barney's "I Love You" song begins. Although Ethan can't talk, yet, he does make sounds that sound like words. One being "I OOO ooOHHH!" To us, it's I Love You. To some, it's gibber gabber. So when the song beings, he will hunt his Mommy or Daddy down, and make SURE to hug and kiss them at the EXACT appropriate times.

Isn't he just a doll? Yeah, we'll keep him ;)

Seriously Slacking...

Sorry everyone.
I've been a slacker. Must get better, I promise.
We have been so busy lately. First, we had the biggest fundraiser for Tom's school, 2 weeks ago. Last weekend we were out with our friends on their boat, then went to our old neighbors house for a BBQ. Then Daddy left yesterday on a business trip till Thursday. All while I'm planning the last minute things for Ashton's birthday party on Sunday and getting this house in order.
And to top it off, Ethan has a slight temperature all of a sudden.
UGH!

Things will slow down, one day. And I'll update everyone on how the "R's" are doing ;) PROMISE!!!

Conversations with an almost 4yo...

I woke Ashton up yesterday morning. The first thing out of his mouth? "Mommy, I'm going to play Ring Around the Rosie while holding Bella's hand, all day!"

As we are waiting to go into Ashton's school he began talking....

Ashton: "Hey Mom...see that?"

Me: "What? The backpack?"

Ashton: "Yeah, it's Hannah Montana."

Me: "You don't know who Hannah Montana is!"

Ashton: "Oh yes, I do. That is Hannah Montana Mom. Bella likes her."

Gesh. Well if Bella likes her, then Ashton MUST like her. Didn't you know, Ashton LOOOOVEEESS Bella ;)
